2-Panel Doorways, or Norens in Japanese, have been used for centuries in Japan as an elegant solution for dividing living space. We have added an extra top piece (valance) for beauty and grace. Each of our Doorways are hand painted (batik), and are made of the highest quality 100% Rayon fabric. They fit normal doorways and are great solutions for closets as well as separating living spaces. Each Doorway is hand crafted and will slightly very in design as well as in dimension.

Attention to Special Details
Sacred Bali Designs has evolved the traditional Japanese Noren Doorway design to include some very special new innovative features.
First: We have added a third piece of fabric (the valance) to the top of each Doorway. This top piece adds a special crowning touch to each Doorway. The valance is mirrored on both sides of the Doorway to enhance each design as seen from both directions. The valance is often cut and hemmed in gracefully curving lines in the shape of leaves and arches to break-up the dry rectangular lines of the standard Doorway. See photo detail:
Second: At the bottom in the corners of each Doorway we have sowed 4 triangle shaped pockets. Coins or small weights can be placed in these pockets to help add weight to the bottom of the Doorways. This can be helpful in places where more air movement is present. See photo detail:
